तो स्मार्ट - ती सुन्दर, त्याला ती आवडली आणि तिलाही तो आवडला. त्यानी
एकत्र सिनेमा पाहिला, एकमेकांच्या गळ्यात हात
घालून फिरले आणि बहरलेल्या यौवनाचा आनंद घेतला.
त्याना वाटले ते प्रेमात पडले. त्यानी प्रेम विवाह केला. एकत्र एकाच
घरात राहण सुरु झाल. एकमेकांच्या आवडी-निवडी
वादाचे विषय होऊ लागले. शुल्लक गोष्टींवरून भांडणे सुरु झाले. दोघांचाही
अहंकार मोठा होता. परिणाम -

’ती’ - मी प्रेमात आंधळी झाली होती, ‘तो’ -मी मूर्ख होतो म्हणून हिच्या
प्रेमात पडलो. पडनारच! कारण
याना प्रेमाचा अर्थ कळलेला नव्हता.
काहींची प्रेमाची गाड़ी विवाहा पर्यंत ही पोहचत
नाही. कारण
देहाचे आकर्षण क्षणभंगुर असते व ते संपल्यावर प्रेम
ही
संपते. तो किंवा ती कोणी तरी एक प्रेमभंगाला
कारणीभूत ठरतो. आपण वर्तमानपत्रांत रोज वाचतो प्रेमभंग झाल्याने कोणी
आत्महत्या करतो तर कोणी खून सुद्धा. कारण यानाही प्रेमाचा अर्थ कळलेला नसतो.
काही आपापला स्वार्थ सिद्ध करण्यासाठी प्रेमाचा देखावा करतात. मी ही डॉक्टर -ती
ही डॉक्टर, आपण एकत्र आलो तर चैनित आयुष्य जाईल. किंवा दोघही नौकरी करणारे
- स्वार्थ मनात ठेउन प्रेम करतात. याला काय म्हणायच

स्वार्थापोटी केलेल प्रेम भंग पावणारच. मग घटस्फोट हा होणारच
यात आश्चर्य नाही. कारण यानाही प्रेमाचा अर्थ कळलेला नाही.

हिमालयाची कन्या पार्वती
कामदेवाच्या मदतीने शंकराचे प्रेम जिंकायला निघाली.
परिणाम काय झाला - शंकराने आपले तीसरे नेत्र उघडले व कामदेव भस्म झाला.
पार्वतीला आपली चूक कळली. तिने तपस्येचा मार्ग
धरला. आपला अहंकार, अभिमान इत्यादि तपस्येच्या अग्नित भस्म केले.
अखेर शंकर प्रसन्न झाले. पार्वतीलाही प्रेमाचा अर्थ
कळला. आपण पहातोच, वसंतात बहरलेल्या कच्च्या कैरीला ही ग्रीष्माच्या उन्हात तपावे
लागते, मगच रसाळ-मधुर असा आम्बा आपल्याला खायला मिळतो. आपल्या मनातिल विकाराना अग्नित भस्म केल्या शिवाय
प्रेमाचा अर्थ कळणे अशक्य म्हणूनच एका उर्दू शायरने प्रेमाबद्धल म्हंटले आहे “इक
आग का दरिया है तैर के जाना है“ आणि आगीचा दरिया पार करण्यासाठी डोळे उघडे असायला पाहिजे. आंधळ्या
माणसाचे हे काम नव्हे.
एकदा शेजारच्या एका आजीला विचारले -तुम्ही कधी प्रेम केले आहे का?
पेमाचा अर्थ काय? आजी म्हणाली प्रेमाच तर सोडा त्या काळी लग्नाआधी मुलाला मुलगी दाखविण्याची
पद्धत ही नव्हती. बायको म्हणजे - आईच्या मदतीला घरकामासाठी आणलेली
हक्काची बाई. ती आपल्याला देह सुख ही देते व घराला वारस ही. त्या काळी बायकाना कष्ट हे करावे लगायचेच. कधी - कधी मार ही
खायला मिळा sans-serif">यचा. आपले माहेरचे अस्तित्व विसरून नवर्या साठीच आपल
आयुष्य आहे हे मनात ठरवून सासरी संसार सुरु केला. काही वर्षात चित्र
बदलले. एका दुसर्याची सवय लागली. त्यांच्या मनात जिव्हाळा निर्माण
झाला. माझ्यासाठी त्यानी आपला स्वभाव ही बदलला.
माझ्या आवडी -निवडीकड़े ते जातीने लक्ष देऊ लागले. मला काय हवे त्याना न
सांगताच समजू लागले
होते. आज एका दुसर्याच्या मनात काय आहे हे न
बोलताच आम्ही समजू शकतो . आताही त्यांच्या मनात काय विचार चालला आहे, हे
मी सांगू शकते. त्यागाशिवाय प्रेम सम्पादित करता येत नाही हेच खरं. संसाराचे चटके बसल्या शिवाय प्रेमाचा अर्थ कळने अशक्यच. आजीचे
बोलणे मला पटले. आजीने खरोखरच तपस्या केली होती म्हणून तिला प्रेमाचा अर्थ
कळला होता. असे प्रेम पाहूनच अमीर खुसरो ने म्हंटले आहे-

शरीराने अलग-अलग असले तरी प्रेम रंगात भिजुन दोघांचे ह्रदय एक झाले होते. कारण प्रेमात द्वैत नाही. सूफी संतांच्या मते लौकिक प्रेम ही
अलौकिक प्रेमाची
पायरी आहे. कारण ज्याच्या हृदयात प्रेम आहे तोच ईश्वराला प्राप्त करू शकतो.
याचा अर्थ लग्ना आधी
प्रेम नाही केले पाहिजे असा नाही. प्रेम अवश्य करा, पण आपण प्रेमात पड़त
आहो असे वाटत असेल तर आपले डोळे उघडा - स्वत:लाच प्रश्न विचारा- हे देहाचे आकर्षण तर नाही ना? यात आपला स्वार्थ तर नाही ना?
कुठल्याही परिस्थितीत आपण त्याचा/ तिचा साथ देऊ शकतो का? त्याच्या/ तिच्या साठी आपण आपल्या सर्वस्वाचा अर्थात आपला अहंकार,
अभिमान इत्यादींचा त्याग करू
शकतो का? याचे उत्तर होय असेल तरच पुढे पाऊल उचला.
अन्यथा प्रेमात पड़नारच. खर्या प्रेमाच्या प्राप्ति साठी तपस्या ही
करावीच लागते. दोघाना शरीराने आणि मनानी एक व्हावे
लागते. तेंव्हाच पेमाची प्राप्ति होते, म्हणूनच कवीरदासानी म्हंटले आहे -
जब मै था तब हरि नाही,
जब हरि है मै नाही,
प्रेम गली अति सांकरी, ज्यामे दो न समाई.

Q: Guruji, we are sparks of divine. Divine has given us air, light in abundance. Then, why not Anand (Happiness)? For which we have to do even the 'meditation in motion'.
Sri Sri: Divine has given us Anand too. We are just not giving importance to it. Look at a child's face, there is so much of Anand.
Q: How did God create the world Spontaneous or planned action?
Sri Sri: Spontaneously well planned.
Q: You say you are responsible for your actions and inactions. But in the bowing down process you say not we but the angels are responsible for everything
Sri Sri: Both are true. Truth is complicated. It is spherical like the earth. Things can begin at every point and end in every point Divine is Anadi (beginingless) & Ananth (endless).

See the Divine in the Valentine & the Valentine in the Divine. The ancient thought has been that Creation & Craetor are not separate. Like waves & ocean are not separate. You cannot have waves without the ocean.
What is God? GOD is that principle that is omniscient, omnipotent & omnipresent. Omniscient means it knows everything. Omnipotent means it can do everything. Omnipresent means it
is present everywhere. If something is outside God, then He is not omnipresent. If something is not within his control, then He is not omnipotent.
Then, Who is God? The whole Universe is Space. Inside every atom, there is Space. If you dissect matter, matter is all Space. The distance between the subatomic particles is like galaxies. God is the primary cause of the whole Creation. Like a pot is made out of clay. Clay is God & the pot is the universe. Like dance & dancer. You cannot have a dance without a dancer. Dance is Creation & the Dancer is Divine. There can be dancer without a dance. Divine can be without Creation but Creation can't exist without the Divine.
Scientists very much agree with this principle.

Sri Sri: In India God was not a concept that was somewhere else above in the sky or in the seventh heaven. Here God permeates the whole of creation. God is present in every atom of the Universe. That is why we have the concept of "Nataraja".
The dance and the dancer are not separate. You cannot have a dance without a dancer. Similarly there can be no creation without God. God is the basis of all creations. The three qualifications of God are , God is Sath (Truth), God is Chit (conscious) and God is Ananada (bliss). This is the most scientific definition of God.
He is present in every atom everywhere. God is nothing but love. Where do you see love in life first? In the mother that is why we say "Mathrudevobhava" (Mother is your God) and mother is
the first Guru, second comes the father, third the teacher and fourth the guest who comes to your house.
The guest is god. Even today in Karnataka, they address the guest as god. They call them " Devarae" and they treat the guests with honor and respect. Guru is the manifestation of love. Guru is absolute love. He does not want anything other than happiness for everybody in the world. Love is God. We are all made up of a substance called love. Don't think God is somewhere else.
That is why here we say, see god in the rivers, mountains, Sun, Moon, stones, trees, animals and in people around us. God is in everything and seeing God within you is meditation and seeing God in the person next to you is service. We need both.

Sri Sri: Because love devoid of knowledge gives rise to imperfection. You love perfection and get angry at imperfection. If you love somebody, you become jealous and possessive.Love is the cause of all problems in the world. Through love, jealousy, anger and hatred all come out.
But we cannot live without love. Even a dog may not like to live without love. It would refuse to eat food, if it is not able to see its master. So love is the most wanted thing for everybody. Yet all these
imperfections and all these problems arise out of love. So what is the answer ? We need such a love which is free from imperfection and that can be attained only through knowledge. "So love minus knowledge is problem and love with knowledge is bliss."

Q: Meditation calms the mind. It feels good. But in our daily life we have to handle paying bills, parking tickets and other mundane things. How can we do this with the same calm mind without getting irritated or perturbed?
Guruji: You take a shower in the morning to clean your body. After that you do all the daily activities. You don't have to keep on taking a shower throughout the day. It is like that. You meditate and calm your mind, then go on with other activities. It is not easy to keep yourself
undisturbed but it will happen as you keep doing the practices regularly. Then it will become easy.

Sri Sri: When you go back give them gifts, show them all the nice pictures, give them a big smile.The depth of silence, the depth of meditation no one can know unless one has experienced himself. What beautiful wealth we all possess in our Self, that we have not explored. Every human being can go into that depth of meditation. That little experience, little skill to do that is missing. We are so fortunate to go into such stillness within ourselves.

Reverence - meaning of Pooja
Sri Sri: REVERENCE Reverence is what takes you toward non- violence. In Sanskrit, Reverence has a beautiful word, "Pooja" - that which is born out of fullness. 'Poo' means fullness & 'Ja" means born. Reverence to all things in creation means you are in revernce to the Creator. If you appreciate the art, you are appreciating the artist. If you are filled with reverence for everything, life is so full. If you don't have reverence for yourself, you can't have reverence for anything else. Before you start 'Pooja' you have to honour the one who is doing it. This is the
ancient method of reverence to the Self.
Ancient seers gave one method, first ask youself who I am & come out of all the identifications-I am this, I am this. If you think you are intelligent, foolish, rich, poor, Christian, Buddhist, Jew, Muslim, male, female- all these identifications will limit you from knowing who you are. It's not that your identifications are bad. But beyond these who are you? And the journey one has to make on one's own. Who am I? What is the purpose of life? These questions bring depth, profoundity in one's life.

beautiful person can recognize the beauty in everything. So therefore, if
you say to someone, "you are stupid" with your one finger pointing towards
him, just know that three other fingers are pointing towards you!! Similarly
if you say someone, "you are beautiful" then just know that three fingers
are pointing at you saying, "you are beautiful".*

Sri Sri:To cleanse the other two spaces, because once we leave the spirit, the mind leaves this body; the mind can not be cleansed outside there. It can not be rid of any thoughts out there, once out of the body. So the body is the instrument in which the space can wash itself out from past impressions. And that is what the Buddha called the nirvana it is here and be in your space and that you are nobody and nothing.

These souls are want to get a body, they are waiting!! Only fools leave the body, I tell you!! Only fools commit suicide! You have so many impressions from the last birth!! You must have been a donkey, cow, bull, buffalo,(laughter) anything!! You keep carrying the impressions and behave in a particular way!! You have tendencies!!

attachment we have with you? (Guruji, sab mohmaya se chutkara pa sakte hai, lekin aapse moh hota hai uska kya Karen?) गुरूजी, सब मोहमाया से छुटकारा पा सकते है, लेकिन आपसे मोह होता है उसका क्या करें?
Sri Sri: If we get attached with something which is beyond our reach, then it is not a problem at all। Because of that life moves on. If attachement is with that which is within our reach, then there may be pain later on. (Moh usase ho jo pakad ke bahar hai, to koi dikkat nahi. Uske sahare jeevandhara aage badhati rahti hai. Agar moh usase hai, jo pakad mein aa sakta aa sakta hai, to baad mein takleef hoti hai. ) मोह उससे हो जो पकड़ के बहार है, तो कोई दिक्कत नही. उसके सहारे जीवनधारा आगे बढाती रहती है. अगर मोह उससे है, जो पकड़ में आ सकता आ सकता है, तो बाद में तकलीफ होती है.

There were not many hospitals some 20 years back because there were not many diseased. But can you say the disease came because of the hospitals?!!? No. You cannot. The number of sick people have increased, the number of hospitals have increased likewise. You know some 50-60
years back there used to be only one doctor in a huge area!! Because they had to literally wait the whole day for one patient! Our food habits have changed. Our lifestyles have undergone drastic change. Global warming is happening. You know the Green Peace team has made a
lovely film on conservation of the nature. Will all watch that after Satsang. People are cutting trees from everywhere to create houses. They are consuming antibiotics for petty health problems. We need to go back to the nature. Use natural remedies. You know farmers are
committing suicide. This is because of the pesticides they have used and the chemicals they have used to get more yield in the past. They are paying for it now!!

You know some time back a reporter or may be a journalist came to me and as usual, you now in their style of asking, asked me Guruji why is breath so important? I was so surprised! I said, It is important because, if it is not there you will die. (Laughter!!!) Just see how the pattern in the mind can make you a fool. These people are so used to asking the question in that stereotype manner, that sometimes they do not know what they are asking!! (Laughter!!!)
How many times have you cried?

Just turn back and look at your life when you were a kid. How many times have you cried?
You cried as though hell has fallen on your head. You thought that was the end of the world and then sobbed and sobbed and then went off to sleep.
So what happened afterwards? Anything happened to you ? You remains unaffected by all these.
Try this :
You can come home happily and say with a smile, "today the entire job that I did flopped! There was no success in any of the work I did today." Anyway everything has flopped, so at least do not let the mind also flop.
You should have the guts to say "come what may I am not going to give up the smile on my face because I am much more than the event or the circumstances. Everything comes and goes, but I continue in spite of all the situations."
When somebody has passed away, you cannot say "Okay, now I am going to be happy" and smile and dance! No, you should not do that.
The ancient people had designed a methodology for this.
They said that if anyone dies in a house, the people of that house are in âEUR~ashoucha' for 10 days. For 10 days you can mourn and cry. After 10 days of mourning, on the eleventh day, they usually distribute sweets to the people, have a celebration, wear new clothes, have a family get together and have a feast.
.
On the day of the final rituals, they take some ghee and water and put it on their eyes which give a cooling effect and then they decide. "Okay, now we get on with our life."
If a spiritual person passes away, then even this not there. Then every moment is a celebration because the sprit is all pervading.
In the same way, there is shoucha when a child is born in a house for 10 days. You are so excited because a new soul has come into your family. So be with all the excitement and happiness for 10 days. You are free from all the social rules and obligations for you to enjoy 100 per cent.
Then come back to your commitments and responsibilities.
- The sadness or sorrow is only in the circumference.
- It is like a cloud covering the light that you are.
- The nature of your being is joy. That needs to be uncovered.
- Again, you need not make a mood out of it.

The planet earth is one living organism. Earth which supports life itself has life. When an ant moves on your hand it thinks it is a rock, when it moves through the hair it is forest. An ants vision of you doesnt give it an idea that you have life. Similarly only from a bigger scientific vision you will know that the earth is one living organism.
Our body is a precious one, but we know very little about it. Several neurons are being born and several others die every moment. Our intestine has 50,000 bacteria. Diarrhea is like having flood for them, fever is like heat wave. They have no idea about you as some one with life. So life is amazing.
What is Art of Living? Understanding this life, who you are, how to take care of your body, mind and intellect, in short studying your own life is Art of Living.
How much of your activity is only reacting? Attending to these aspects of the mind and getting the strength from within is Art of Living. With Sudarshan Kriya natural killer cells increase 3

Today health of the people is being robbed by the chemicals used by the farmers. Farmers spend more money on the fertilisers than what they get. This trend has to be reversed. In US land is vast and huge. Our country has 1/3 of the US land and 3 times its population.

The act which is only destructive and inflicts suffering both on oneself and others is terrorism. In such an act, human values are lost in the process of achieving a goal.
Some of the factors that lead to terrorism are:
Frustration and desperation to achieve a goal
Confused emotion
Shortsightedness and Impulsive action
Belief in a non-verifiable concept of heaven and merit; a childish concept of God favoring some and angry at others, thereby undermining the omniscience and omnipotence of the Divine.
Terrorism induces fear psychosis in all, increases poverty, suffering and loss of life with no apparent gains. Instead of solutions the terrorist looks for destruction as an answer. If you simply criticize without giving a solution, know that this criticism comes from the same seed as terrorism!
Although there are certain qualities you can appreciate in a terrorist such as:
Fearlessness
Commitment to a goal
Sacrifice
You will have to learn from them things that you should never do:
Valuing some ideas and concepts more than life.
Having a narrow perspective of life and dishonoring its diversity.
The Remedy for terrorism is:
Inculcate a broader perspective of life -- value life more than race, religion and nationality.
Educate people in human values – friendliness, compassion, cooperation and upliftment.
Teach methods to release stress and tension.
Cultivate confidence in achieving noble aims by peaceful and nonviolent means.
Create spiritual upliftment which can weed out destructive tendencies.
Adhi shankara spoke about dispassion,detachment,and renuncition.However he foresaw that if he only talked about renucition.people might start liking and encouring sadness . He did not want people to stop appereciating beauty.so he sang a hundred veres of beauty.
Beauty has threre levels:indication,expersssion and exposure,Spirituality indicates, art expresses and science exposes.
The divine is beauty.and beauty is divine.Deva means one who loves to play.one who is effulgent glorious and one who plays.Demons fight,men live in peace,and gods play.Playfulness cannot happen if there is no beauty,they go togheter.Enthusiasm.the same force that is beauty.creates playfulness.Beauty is associated with sheyness enhances beauty. For example, a small child sometimes makes a very shy face. When everyone notices and appreciates the child, he just hides his face. Likewise, shame is a part of ugliness. Shyness softens you; ugliness or shame hardens you. When a person feels ashamed, he becomes hard inside and becomes violent.
The way of Gods, the way of the wise has always been indirect. There is a saying in Sanskrit, 'Paroksha priya hi vai devaha?' which means, 'Gods love indirect methods'. Poetry is indirect. It is exaggeration. The heart always exaggerates, while the mind puts the fact forward. Fact is intellectual. But when it comes from the heart, the fact is decorated. It becomes doubly beautiful.
Love & Sin
The whole world is made up of love and everyone is made up of love.All is God.All is love.But then what is the purpose? Where is life heading ? life is heading towards perfection.Why? is not already perfect? No! Because love has six distortions - anger,lust,greed,jealousy,arrogance and delusion.
In animals.these six distortions are also present.However the have no way to go beyond this distortions because nature rules then.But human beings are endowed with discrimination.This the purpose of all sadhna,Meditation and practices.Moving away from the distrotion of creation to purity or back to the source.........

Bang On The Door
Today our door in our innermost chamber is so tightly closed,we have to bang it down,Even when we trust ,we trust with a doubt in it, We doubt ourselves, We do not know our own minds, we do not know how we are felling,What is happing to us,And we have no turst or faith that the whole universe is governed by an unseen power.An unseen power is maintaning the orderliness in this flower,is mainantaing the orderliness in the clouds. The tree,the sun and moon and stars
This universe is filled with life.Every anch and bit of it.We are living and see life all around us,but our truth in life is not threre.It is simply not there.We don't see the universe as a living thing.We see only matter everywhere.We wont to posses more and more odjects;we want every objet that we don"t have In our eyes only objects appear We don"t see life.the living entity,everywhere,our doors need to be banged on for us to be able to recognize life.
ABODE OF THE DIVINE
As the nut, with our without shell is pistachio,similarly spirit with our without the boy is god,but just at the shell without the nut is not pistachio ,the body without the spirit is not god,Spirit is cernaitlynot god because it is not present everywhere.
Gos is within the body and God embodies the whole universe,Those who have eyes will see .when asked "Are you god?" to whomis the Question addersed? As it is only the spirit that answers,You have no choice but to say "Yes!"
